Reed Place, Rapid Creek
This project saw the transformation of a tired house and the creation of a separate work space for its photographer owners. The existing elevated dwelling was renovated externally and connected via timber walkway to a new studio with cathedral ceilings, tongue-and-groove cypress flooring, functional loft, stainless steel kitchenette and expansive underfloor storage cavity. Outside, some 50 square metres of merbau decking and ultra-modern bathroom pod complete what’s been described as a classy, modern and sustainable renovation.
“Paul McGrath’s work ethic incorporates a value of ‘being prepared to go the extra mile’, a quality that appears to come naturally to him. It would be difficult to find a builder with more integrity.”
Judith Durmford, Reed Place renovation.
“Paul and his client worked together to achieve additional customising of the project, a direct result of his ability, his great team and his fabulous nature.”
Jo Rees, architect, Reed Place renovation.
